As Switzerland's biggest logistics company, we have a big impact, in particular where we move letters, parcels and goods on a daily basis. That's why we are reducing CO₂ emissions in logistics: over the last mile, during transport and together with our customers.
Reduced CO₂ emissions in delivery (as of 2025)
Delivery offers us a direct way to reduce our CO₂ emissions. That's why we are using electric vehicles to deliver letters and parcels in more and more places. By delivery, we mean transport with our vehicles from a distribution base to our customers.
70% of our delivery vehicles are electric
For the transport of our delivery consignments, we are gradually switching to e-mobility (7,763 of a total of 10,500 vehicles).
52% of all parcels delivered by electric vehicles.
More than half of parcel consignments already reach customers by electric‑delivery.
11 cities with electric delivery
In more and more cities, our letter and parcel deliveries are entirely electric, reducing our CO₂ emissions.

CO₂ reduction in our transport operations (as of 2025)
Between sorting and distribution centers, we are reducing our CO₂ emissions through smart planning. Together with our subcontractors, we avoid unnecessary kilometres, shift transport from road to rail where possible and are gradually decarbonizing remaining road transport through the use of alternative drive systems.
More than 100 electric‑trucks in service for Swiss Post
Our partners are modernizing their truck‑fleets and have been gradually switching to alternative drive systems since 2021 – with clearly defined expansion targets by 2030.
27% of road freight transport uses alternative drivetrains
In 2025, our partners transporting consignments by road covered 23 million kilometres using alternative drivetrains, out of a total of 84 million kilometres.
90 rail connections
We have expanded our rail network and increased the number of daily weekday connections from 70 to 90 since 2022, enabling us to transport more goods by rail.

Delivery and transport using electric vehicles requires renewable energy, such as solar power from our own rooftops or Swiss electricity generated from renewable energy sources.
