Lars Keller appointed new Head of PostalNetwork and Member of Executive Management

The Swiss Post Board of Directors has appointed Lars Keller as the new Head of PostalNetwork. The experienced sales and distribution expert is currently in charge of operational business at the telecom provider mobilezone. The 44-year-old lives in the canton of Vaud and, in taking up his new role, will also become a Member of Executive Management. He will start in his new position on 1 January 2027. Lars Keller succeeds Thomas Baur, who has made significant progress in developing the Group unit in recent years. Thomas Baur will facilitate the onboarding of Lars Keller and take on new tasks within the Group.

Many years of management experience in sales and distribution

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Lars Keller is currently responsible for the operational business of the Switzerland-wide telecommunications provider mobilezone, where he develops the sales and distribution organization in a dynamic market environment. Previously, as Head of Sales at Salt Mobile, he implemented innovative customer solutions and, with his customer-orientated personality, made a significant contribution to the growth of the telecommunications provider. Lars Keller began his career in the retail sector, where he worked as an entrepreneur and established several businesses. With this experience under his belt, the Vaud-based father of three will continue to lead the PostalNetwork Group unit into the future.

CEO Pascal Grieder pays tribute to Thomas Baur’s many years of service

Thomas Baur has led PostalNetwork since 2016 as a Member of Executive Management and Deputy CEO and, during this time, has continuously driven forward the development of the unit. In 1983, Thomas Baur joined what was then PTT as a software developer. Over the ensuing 40 years, he took on managerial responsibility in key Swiss Post units and set a decisive course in challenging situations – from modernizing letter mail to managing PostBus during a particularly challenging phase and transforming Swiss Post’s branch network. “Thomas Baur combines a deep understanding of Swiss Post with the ability to provide guidance and consistently move forward, even in challenging situations. We’re all the more pleased that he will facilitate the handover and continue to contribute his experience and knowledge at the Group. On behalf of Executive Management, I’d like to sincerely thank him for everything he’s achieved for Swiss Post and for Switzerland,” says CEO Pascal Grieder in recognition of his commitment. Thomas Baur will facilitate the onboarding of Lars Keller and then take on new tasks within the Group.
