10 years of world-class service – thanks in part to you

Swiss Post is a world-leading postal service! This has been confirmed by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), which evaluates postal organizations in 180 countries based on factors such as their reliability, reach, relevance and resilience. Swiss Post has been world class in this field for ten years. That sounds like consistency. But if you take a closer look, you’ll soon realize that Swiss Post has changed a great deal in recent years.

Intro

Ten years ago, more people put pen to paper, postal transactions were often carried out at the counter, the boom in online retail was still in its infancy and there was little mention of artificial intelligence. Today, customers expect services to be available at all times and to be able to handle their requests both in person and online. Swiss Post has changed along with Switzerland. Five examples show how much it’s evolved over the past ten years, while remaining what it’s always been: a reliable partner for Switzerland.

What’s in store next?

Customer expectations are not the same as they were ten years ago. At the same time, competitors are trying every day to catch up with Swiss Post. That’s precisely why Swiss Post is continually developing its services. It listens, adapts and creates new solutions where they offer added value. Not because change is an end in itself, but because Swiss Post wants to remain relevant in the future. It needs people to help it succeed. People in the sorting centers, in delivery, on Postbuses, at counters, in the home service, at PostFinance, in the Contact Center, in offices, workshops and many other functions. Behind this world-leading postal service are around 44,000 people who are there for Switzerland every day. As well as customers who have placed their trust in Swiss Post for over 175 years.

Which criteria does the Universal Postal Union (UPU) look at exactly?

The Universal Postal Union (UPU) publishes the Integrated Index for Postal Development every year. The UPU uses this to compare the postal organizations in over 180 countries. The ranking is drawn up based on a comprehensive, data-driven analysis. Read the media blog to find out how Swiss Post measures up by international standards.
